The Orientation Programme for Class 1 (2016-17) was conducted on 6th April 2016. The rooms of class 1 were well decorated with balloons and colour papers to attract and a short cultural program was presented by primary students to welcome the Tiny Tots. They enjoyed the sight of the Vidyalaya and took pride to be one among of our family. The chief guest for the day was Shri C. Valmiki, Principal KV MEG & Centre. Mrs. Bhagyalakshmi R HM, presented a slide show about School Readiness Programme for class 1. She highlighted the objectives of School Readiness  Programme which included the academic activities. The first four to six weeks of informal learning includes to familiarize the child to the school environment, teachers and peer group. She also focused about the School Readiness Programme activities like sing song session, writing, reading with proper pronounciation, simple activities, teaching good mannerisms, being disciplined etc. A clear vision about CCE was highlighted, the area assessment (scholastic and co-scholastic) was briefed. Glimpses of CMP activity of 2016-17 was also presented, so that parents motivate the children to take part in all the activities of the Vidyalaya. Thereafter, the class teachers and subject teachers were introduced by the head mistress. And the programmewas concluded with sweet distribution and a small gift as a token of love.

 

 

 

Grandparents Day 2015-16

             Grandparents day was successfully celebrated on 17th Oct 2015. Shri.Sampath kumar was the chief guest of the day and Shri.Srinivasalu(AO KVS BGR RO)was the guest of honor. The programme begin with the classical dance. This was followed by the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, Guest of honor, Principal and HM. The chief guest was honored with a shawl and bouquet. The principal officially welcomed the gathering. Mr.Sampath the chief guest expressed his views. Plant sapling, cultural programs and games were arranged for grandparents. The winners of the games were given attractive prizes. This was followed by relishing refreshments. A few grandparents expressed their views and opinions about the events. Finally the vote of thanks was proposed by HM.

INNOVATIVE PRACTICES

Reading cards (English and Hindi) have been used to enhance reading skills among students. Picture cards and word cards have been used  to promote the thinking and imaginary skill for creative writing.

Activity based method is followed in all subjects to make the concepts clear and interesting. play way methods. Experimentation is used in teaching EVS. Magic studio is also used to make the concept clear.

CLASS ROOM ACTIVITIES

Using flash cards, picture cards, debate, class discussion, role play , dramatization, Play way method, lab activity, outdoor  activities, data collections, survey method, quiz and puzzles, internet sources, video clippings etc.

FIELD TRIPS & EXCURSIONS

“Out of the box” teaching is a norm envisaged in the KVS curriculum primary teaching and learning pivots around activity based learning. To provide first hand experience, children were taken for the field trips.

English Literary club:

*       English literary club is an organ of motivational force to many aspiring students who want to excel in all round activities of academic session.

*       ELC aims to introduce the young readers of English language to the vast world of English literature.

*       The purpose of ELC is to create an interest in reading and understanding the aesthetic sense of English language.

*       Thus ELC perform few indoor as well as outdoor activities throughout  the year.

The main objective of nature club is to develop love for nature, love and care for plants/animals. To create awareness among children above India’s biodiversity. To inculcate aesthetic sense and Scientific temper. To develop interest in EVS subject. To create an conducive environment.
